Goodbye Summer, Hello Autumn & Winter – Why Photoshoots Are Magical Even in the Cold
✨ As summer days slowly fade, many people think photoshoots should wait until next year. But autumn and winter bring their own beauty, soft light, cosy layers, colourful leaves and even moody skies that make every image unique.
🍂 Autumn vibes
Autumn in Dublin is golden the parks turn into colourful canvases full of reds, oranges and yellows. St. Anne’s Park, Phoenix Park and the Botanic Gardens are perfect backdrops. Add a cosy coat or scarf and you’ll look timeless against the warm autumn tones.
📸 Tip: Autumn golden hour happens earlier (around 4–6pm), making it easier to plan shoots without staying out late.
❄️ Winter magic
Winter may be colder, but it’s one of the most underrated times for photos. The light is soft all day, the city is calmer and cafés invite us indoors for warm, storytelling shots. Even misty mornings or crisp afternoons create a cinematic mood.
📸 Tip: Layered outfits, neutral tones and small props (coffee cup, blanket, book) add intimacy and style to winter portraits.
